MOE, IPST and POSN team up for an international conference in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra on restoring the quality of science and mathematics education post COVID-19

On 19 October 2023 at 10.00 hrs. at the Ratchawanlop Conference Room, 2nd floor, Ratchawanlop Building, Ministry of Education, Police General Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, presided over the press conference on the organization of The International Conference on Mathematics and Science Education in the Post COVID-19 Era: Global Issues Awareness in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piniti Ratananukul, Secretary General of the Promotion of Academic Olympiad and Development of Science Education Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra (POSN), and Ms. Soohyun Kim, Director of UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office in Bangkok, joined the minister in delivering remarks. Executives from MOE’s co-organizing agencies, the President of the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST), media representatives, and guests were in attendance.

The International Conference on Mathematics and Science Education in the Post COVID-19 Era: Global Issues Awareness will be held in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra during 30 October – 1 November 2023 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. The conference receives gracious kindness of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to preside over the Opening Ceremony of the conference and deliver a keynote lecture.

The conference aims to be an international platform to share knowledge and skills in science and mathematics education after the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the quality of education across the world. The conference includes a variety of academic lectures by world-class scholars, two Nobel laureates, award-winning teachers, and representatives from private sector and covers the topic of the education for all, the promotion of talented students, and the transformation of the educational system into the digital age. An exhibition in honor of Her Royal Highness will be on display. The event will be held on-site, and it is expected to attract 500 local and international participants.
